Back to School Information
Welcome to the 2025-26 School Year!
School Supplies, Do This!
To make it easier for parents and staff, Sartorette teachers will order supplies they want each student to have. Please do not send your child to school with any supplies. Parents, please complete this Student Supplies Form and make the requested $15 donation per child as soon as possible.
First Days of School
Mark your calendars the first day of school is Thursday, August 15, 2024. Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten have modified schedules for the first few weeks of school. Please see below for details.
TK/K Modified Schedules

Teacher Assignments
Student class lists/assignments will be posted on your child's school website on Tuesday, August 12th after 6 pm. You will be receiving an email no later than Friday, August 8th with your child's student number which will be used as identification for their specific classroom assignment.
Attendance
Consistent school attendance is key to success for your child. Ensuring your child is on time and in attendance on the first day of school is very important. Students who are not in attendance on the first day of school will be dropped from enrollment at the end of the day unless we receive communication from their parent/guardian regarding the reason for their absence. If your child has five unexcused absences during the first week of school, your student will be dropped from enrollment at the end of the day on Aug 21. If your child is dropped for any reason, you will need to re-enroll your child with the Cambrian School District. Thank you for making your child's attendance a priority to support their learning.
Resources for Preparing Your Child for School
Now is a good time to start implementing routines that will set students on a positive path to enjoying school. There are lots of quality resources for preparing young children for school. Below are just a few.
Parent-Teacher Organization
A school is as strong as the families that support it. The primary way to do that is through our parent-teacher organization called the Home & School Club (HSC).
We are indebted to the work of Home & School Club, who are people like you, parents/guardians that ensure our school community gets what is needed to thrive. Let's please continue to grow this mighty group so "many hands make light work."
Despite busy households, the school cannot function without support from parents/guardians and family members. In addition to the list, there are ways for everyone to support the school no matter your availability. We have to do this for ourselves. If our own families do not participate in supporting our school through the Home & School Club, who will?
In addition to three board positions of vice president, co-treasurer, and auditor, there are a many open committee positions. This is not an exhaustive list, but it is a good start. Please use the following email to ask questions or sign up for a position: sartorette-hsc-board@googlegroups.com
